2-year-old girl dies in North Spirit Lake First Nation


Ontario Provincial Police are investigating how a child died in North Spirit Lake First Nation. According to a written release issued on Wednesday, the provincial police service was called in to help the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service with a sudden death investigation in the community. Nishnawbe Aski police were called on Tuesday about a two-year-old child who had been brought to the community's nursing station and was subsequently pronounced dead. Anyone with information is being asked to contact OPP, Nishnawbe Aski police or Crime Stoppers. North Spirit Lake is a remote community, located about 800 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont.
