The incident occurred on Saturday nightTwo construction workers have been killed in a crane collapse at Rampal thermal power plant in Bagerhat. Police said both workers sustain injuries after ropes of a crane snapped, triggering its metal pulley to fall on them. Confirming the matter, Rampal police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Lutfur Rahman said the bodies were kept at the police station. When contacted, Deputy Project Director of Rampal Power Plant Md Rezaul Karim could not be reached over the phone. Earlier on March 2, two other construction workers were also killed after being crushed under a heavy container at the Rampal thermal power plant.
