According to the Regional Police Command, the two deceased among others engaged the police in a gun battle at about 5:00 am on the Agyagyekrom-Asuadei road. ACP Ampofo Duku explained that “Police also returned fire resulting in the instant death of two of the suspects. ” The three other suspects managed to escape. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased robbers, aged between 30-35 years, have been deposited at the Agroyesum hospital morgue for autopsy and identification.
