The incident occurred around 3am on Tuesday when the robbers were attempting to flee after committing a robbery at Murgiber village in Joshar union of Shibpur upazila. One of the two deceased men was identified as Sohel Mia, 30. When they were attacked in retaliation, they dished out severe beatings, killing two robbers on the spot. The deceased Sohel had several charges, including murder, filed against him, said police.
