LUCENA CITY––Police arrested Wednesday two alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebels and seized an unlicensed firearm and explosives in Sariaya, Quezon. Combined police and Army soldiers armed with an arrest warrant swooped down at 2 a.m. on the safe house of the suspected rebels––Erlindo Custodio, 53, and Wilfrido Caparaño, 60––in Barangay Manggalang 1 of the town, Colonel Joel Villanueva, Quezon provincial police chief, said in a report.
