A 43-year-old man was fatally shot and a juvenile critically injured Wednesday night in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police. The shooting occurred about 9:50 p.m. in the 300 block of 50th Street NE in a courtyard near a three-story apartment building and basketball court. Police said Malachi Yisrael of Southeast was taken to a hospital in Prince George’s County, Md., where he was pronounced dead. The other victim, identified by police as a juvenile male, was taken to a hospital in the District. Police said the juvenile suffered life-threatening injuries.
