MANILA, Philippines — Two passenger vessels will serve as a temporary isolation facility for repatriated Filipino seafarers and other Overseas Filipino Workers, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Black Saturday. Transportation Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Artemio Tuazon said those allowed in the ships are Filipino workers who do not have COVID-19 symptoms. ADVERTISEMENTThe returning Filipino workers will also undertake 14-day mandatory quarantine to contain spread of COVID-19 in the country. The first ship can accommodate 800 people while the smaller ship can serve 300 individuals, DOTr said. The ships are now docked in Pier 15 at South Harbor in Port Area, Manila.
