LUCENA CITY – Two motorcycle riders were killed and another one injured in two separate road accidents in Tayabas City and Calauag town in Quezon province on Sunday, police said. Motorcyclist Ramil Romero Sr., while negotiating a village road, accidentally collided to an oncoming motorcycle being ridden by David Valerio Rogel in Barangay (village) Masinin Tayabas City around 9:30 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report. ADVERTISEMENTDue to the strong impact of the collision, both motorcycles overturned, its riders overthrown into the ground. Romero died on the spot while Rogel was rushed to the Tayabas Community Hospital at the town center. Police said the bus occupied the opposite lane while negotiating a curved section of the Maharlika Highway that resulted in the accident.
