Two men are in custody after a police investigation that closed down Highway 401 near Brockville, Ont., Thursday evening and prompted police to fire shots. The highway was closed for four hours, beginning around 6:30 p.m., between Long Beach Road and Stewart Boulevard, according to the OPP. ROAD CLOSURE: Hwy401 EB is CLOSED at Parkdale Ave & WB at Stewart Blvd #Brockville - Highway closed for police investigation. The vehicle was later spotted on Highway 401, at which point officers were able to stop it and arrest two men inside, Sawbridge said. Police have not said why the men were arrested or what charges might be pending.
