SAN PEDRO CITY – Two people were killed in separate shootouts with the police in Batangas province. In Bauan town, drug suspect Gerald Yermo was killed in a buy-bust operation a little past midnight on Tuesday in Barangay (village) Sinala. ADVERTISEMENTIn Ibaan, a still unidentified man was killed by the police at about 9 p.m. Monday in Barangay Sto. The police report said a resident alerted the police station about an “armed” person on a motorcycle driving around the vicinity. Police went to the area to check the report when the man suddenly opened fire at the lawmen.
