The deceased were identified as Palash, 27, and Monju Miah,30, from Dharmandal village of the district's Nasirnagar upazila, said Lakhai police station officer-in-Charge Saidul Islam. The OC said workers were cutting down roadside trees at Shaldia on Tuesday. At one point, a tree fell on three people when they were going to a place on a motorcycle. The dead bodies were sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
