TACLOBAN CITY — Two young girls drowned while swimming in a resort in Carigara town, Leyte last Sunday afternoon. The fatalities were identified as Erica Cajudo, 6, of Barangay San Roque, Alangalang town, Leyte; and Amanda Mae Codillo, 8, of Barangay Guindapunan West, Carigara town. Chief Insp. “They were later recovered at a deep portion of the beach by their rescuers. While the girls drowned, the boy managed to survive as rescuers were able to save him,” Castila said.
