The incident took place in Ispahani Ghat area of Bandar upazila around 4:30pm on Monday. Seven hours after the disappearance, the two bodies were recovered around 11:30pm and police have arrested two people in the incident. Jisan and Mihad took refuge in a boat at the ghat to save themselves. When the gang members jumped into the river to save themselves, Mihad and Jisan followed. After a search of about seven hours, the local fishermen recovered their bodies at around 11:30pm.
