TWO people died and four were missing in the Bicol Region as Typhoon “Ulysses (Vamco),” its Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) reported on Thursday. Based on the report, the fatalities were identified as Avelino Cabanela, 68, and Salva Mangubat, 70, both residents of Camarines Norte. The four missing were identified as Jessy Boy Alvarez, 33, Roland Alvarez, 48, Bobby Roderick Masaya, 19, and Noel Macayo — all residents of Camarines Norte. Eight people were injured, the RDRRMC said in its report as if 12 noon. Moreover, a total of 52,719 families or 188, 987 individuals were affected by the typhoon, the report added.
