In Tangail, a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle killed a madrasa teacher on the spot in Sakhipur upazila on Thursday evening, police said. Sakhipur police station OC Amir Hossain said the dead body would be handed over to his family. In Jamalpur, another head-on collision between a three-wheeler and a truck on the Jamalpur-Tangail highway killed one and injured four others. Jamalpur Sadar police station OC Md Salemuzzaman said: “The truck was seized but the driver managed his escape.”
