SAN PEDRO CITY — A delivery truck hit a group of pedestrians, leaving two people dead and one injured, in this city on Sunday. City police chief Supt. Giovannie Martinez, in a text message, identified one of the fatalities as Jonathan Muyco, a resident of the adjacent Biñan City. Martinez said the victims were crossing the national highway in Barangay (village) Nueva when they were hit by the truck around 3:30 a.m. He said the driver, Jerick Manaog, tried to flee but was stopped by policemen who happened to be patrolling about a hundred meters away from the accident site.
