2 days left before end of voter’s registrationhome/News/Top Stories/2 days left before end of voter’s registrationThe Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday reminded the public that they have two days left to register before the registration of voters ends on Monday, September 30. “Tomorrow is the last Saturday of voter registration, while the last day is on a Monday, so an influx of registrants is to be expected. The Comelec has anticipated this, and we are confident that our employees in the field are prepared to handle the last-day registration scenario,” Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said on Friday. The ongoing registration is in accordance with the Voter’s Registration Act of 1996, which provides for the system of continuing registration of voters. Each name will be announced repeatedly three times in the order in which the applicants’ names were listed.
