Lima Khanam, duty officer at the headquarters of Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the incidents on Saturday. She said a bus of Trust Services Limited that was heading towards Shahbagh caught fire in Kawran Bazar around 3:10pm. Two firefighting units went to the spot and doused the fire around 3:35pm, she added. Two units rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control around 4:22pm, Lima Khanam said. "It is suspected that the bus caught fire due to mechanical faults," she added.
