SAN PEDRO CITY-Two alleged illegal drug suspects were killed in a buy-bust operation in Lian town in Batangas province, police on Friday said. Guillermo Eleazar, director of the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (Calabarzon) police, said that at 10 p.m. in Barangay (village) Matabungkay, suspects Marlon Adrias and Marlon Lubugan fired at police officers while dealing with undercover agents of the Batangas police drug enforcement unit. Eleazar said Adrias and Lubugan sustained gunshot wounds after the police officers returned fire. ADVERTISEMENTAccording to Eleazar, Lubugan was included in the police’s list of “high value targets” for illegal drugs. Recovered from the suspects were two .45 caliber guns and two plastic sachets of suspected shabu or crystal meth.
