Two neighboring homes caught fire on Christmas day, but no one was hurt in the incident, the Saskatoon Fire Department says. Fire crews called to the 400 block of Avenue I S. found one house fully engulfed and another had caught fire. The second house fire was brought under control first, and crews determined it was vacant. Firefighters needed about a half and hour to bring the more severe fire under control and search for occupants. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, a release from the department said.
