After the gunfight, BGB rescued two men with bullet wounds and took them to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. In Joypurhat, a suspected criminal was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Bhutgari village in Panchbibi upazila in the district. Realizing presence of the police personnel, the suspected criminals opened fire, forcing them to fire back that triggered the gunfight. In Mymensingh, Abdul Motaleb, 42, member of an inter-district robber gang, was killed in a reported gunfight with Detective Branch (DB) police at Rasulpur in Gafargaon upazila.
