2 Myanmar journalists released on bail

Two Myanmar photojournalists, covering the Rohingya crisis for a German magazine, have been released on bail on Friday, nine days after they were detained on suspicion of espionage. “Cox’s Bazar judicial magistrate’s court granted bail to them,” said their lawyer Jyotirmoy Barua. Minzayar Oo and Hkun Lat were detained more than a week ago in Cox’s Bazar, where more than 400,000 Rohingya have sought refuge from violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state since August 25.
