MANILA, Philippines — Two Manila barangay councilors were killed in separate attacks since Sunday night. Closed-circuit television videos showed the assailant’s vehicle had no plate number and conduction sticker, Panaligan said. Sibug is the second Barangay 131 councilor killed in less than two weeks. Joshua Nagpacan was standing along Pinoy street when three men on two motorcycles shot him repeatedly at around 11:12 a.m. on May 9. Navotas police chief Col. Rolando Balasabas said they are checking if Hernandez’s murder is connected to the attack on Sibug.
