2 Bukidnon Rice Mill Workers Electrocuted


VALENCIA CITY, BUKIDNON: Two rice mill workers were electrocuted while catching frogs, local police here reported on Saturday. The police identified the victims as Cesar Somodivilla, 21, rice mill operator, of Kimalok, Libertad, Misamis Oriental, and Isagani Teves, 37, of Busco, Butong, Quezon, Bukidnon. Initial police investigation said the victims were reportedly catching frogs when electrocuted by a grounded cable wire attached to a steel post on Friday evening. A concerned citizen identified only as a certain JR Mangubat reported the incident to the Valencia City Police. Police also recovered 50 live frogs inside Somodivilla’s sack and a flashlight while garlic, onions, coins, lighter and a residence certificate were found inside the pocket of Teves.
