On April 12, 180 Chinese overseas students arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on China Eastern Airlines' flight MU590 from San Francisco. China has operated 543 charter flights for passengers and cargo, and transported 134 foreign aid medics, joint working group members, and more than 9,000 tons of anti-epidemic materials as of April 13. Destinations covered 60 countries around the world, including the United States, the UK, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Italy, Japan, and South Korea, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said, CGTN reports. From March 4 to April 12, the CAAC arranged 16 charter flights to bring back home 2,744 Chinese nationals stranded in Iran, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Spain, including 1,449 overseas students. Another flight will transport 12 medics from the northern coastal city of Tianjin to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
