MANILA, Philippines — Another 2,376 individuals have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Friday. According to DOH, there are now 37,377 active cases out of the 2,797,986 confirmed cases of the disease in the country. The DOH said 6.5 percent of 44,182 individuals tested were found positive for the virus on Wednesday. Four testing laboratories that contributed an average of 1.4 percent of samples tested and 0.9 percent of positive individuals in the last two weeks were not able to submit data on time.
