Drumanagh acted as a trading post between Ireland and the Roman Empire, according to the university, and past excavations have found other domestic imports. “It’s thrilling to imagine someone enjoying such an exotic food here in Ireland so long ago.”This is the oldest example of an exotic food found in Ireland, researchers said.
