Government carries out bureaucratic reshuffle in district-level administrationIn a major reshuffle in the district-level administration, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DC) in 19 districts. The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday appointing new DCs to Gazipur, Faridpur, Pabna, Gopalganj, Mymensingh, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Rajshahi, Bagerhat, Jessore, Moulvibazar, Sirajganj, Rajbari, Jhalkathi, Naogaon, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur and Barguna. The gazette was signed by Public Administration Ministry's Deputy Secretary Muhammad Shahin Imran. He said the government order will come into effect immediately.
