– A teen was shot in the chest early Thursday in Jonesboro and authorities are working to learn more. It happened sometime after 3 AM, the report released Thursday afternoon by the Jonesboro Police Department said. Although most details are masked, the report states that the victim, 17, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. As of late Thursday afternoon, he was out of surgery and in stable condition, Public Information Officer Sally Smith said. Police had no suspect information to release to the public Thursday afternoon.
