A 16-year-old boy has died after trying to help a mother and son in distress at Woodbine Beach, police say. At least six boats and a helicopter were visible from the beach searching the water for swimmers. “The water at the west end of Woodbine Beach is lined with rocks and buouys, and has a very significant undertow,” he said.
