Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today said that 16 accident related deaths were reported yesterday, in addition to the 14 deaths reported on Wednesday (14). Of the 16 road accident victims yesterday 12 were motorcyclists. He said that of the 16 deaths yesterday, 8 were deaths from accidents which occurred yesterday while another 8 were people who were injured in accidents which occurred a few days ago and died in hospital yesterday. The Police Spokesman also said that most accidents reported yesterday were motorcycle accidents.
