He confirmed the names of five of the 16 fishermen abducted from the area. The pirates are demanding Tk 16 lakh in ransom to free the 16 fishermen. The District Fishing Trawlers Owners Association informed the Coast Guard, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7, and police, of the matter . RAB-7 Company Commander, Major Mehedi, said they were trying to rescue the abducted fishermen.
