The festival will be held from Jan 28 to Feb 3 next year. Documentary films, short fiction up to 45 minutes of duration, and animation films produced between Sep 1, 2015, to Aug 31, 2017, are eligible for entry in the respective categories. MIFF is a biennial documentary, short fiction and animation film festival organised by the Films Division under the India’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. The Golden Conch, the prestigious top award of MIFF amounting to approximately 6 million Indian Rupees, recognises the best talent in documentary and animation filmmaking.
