Belayet Hossain, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Sundarbans East zone said a patrol team from the forest department was on their regular duty on Saturday morning when they spotted a fishing boat. Detecting the forest conservation officers, three people on the boat fled.”We are suspecting that the trio was returning to their destination after poaching a deer. A case has been filed in connection with the incident, added Belayet.
