A teen girl is dead after a shooting in a home on the Waywayseecappo First Nation. Manitoba First Nations Police members were called to the home at around 7 p.m. Saturday after reports of a gunshot. That's where they found a 15-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound, RCMP said in a release on Sunday. Small community grieves 15-year-oldWaywayseecappo Chief Murray Clearsky said the news of the girl's death is spreading quickly through the western Manitoba community of about 2,600 people. He said the girl has a big family, and wants to respect their privacy.
