A 15-year-old boy died in a fire that reached the fifth alarm and engulfed about 30 houses in the shanties of Isla Putting Bato in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday morning. According to a report by Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Chief Insp. Marvin Carbonel, chief of the operations division of the Manila Fire District, identified the fatality as Froilan de la Cruz.
