15 political parties in Ekiti State have adopted and promised their support for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ekiti South Senatorial District in Saturday’s election, Senator Abiodun Olujimi, on the ground that her tenure as a Senator has brought lots of infrastructural development not only to Ekiti South but Ekiti State as a whole. Parties involved in the merger include Accord Party and 14 others; ACPN, Zenith Labour Party, MMN, Independent Democratic Party, PDM, AGAP,PDC, APGA, DPC, HDP, GPN, DA, APA and the Action Democratic Party (ADP). We have been following political trends in Ekiti State with particular reference to Ekiti South Senatorial District and found that Senator Biodun Olujimi of PDP stands out among other contestants on the following grounds. “That to enable her to continue in the good works, the 15 political parties have decided to endorse her for another term as the Senator Representing Ekiti South Senatorial District of Ekiti State under the umbrella of PDP and we direct our members and admires across the South Senatorial District of Ekiti State to support her,” they said.
