Some 4.9 million people, or 5.9 percent of the population have received both jabs. The 7-day incidence jumped up to 129.2 case per 100,000 inhabitants on Sunday from 120.6 on the previous day. In Vallendar, in the western state of Rhineland-Palatinate, officers broke up a party in a parking garage. At another party in the Upper Palatinate region more than 30 guests were caught in a private house. Officers detained a total of 27 people, all of whom are now facing charges.
