@alalmauriceA 15-acre sugarcane plantation valued at Sh1.5 million has been burnt in Nyando, Kisumu county. He said a group of unknown people set the farm belonging to Harrison Ogada, 66, on fire. The cause was due to a dispute between Nyando and Nyakach constituents over a dyke erected along the boundary to control River Nyando flooding. According to the police, the unknown constituents of Nyakach are believed to have started the fire. Anampiu said officers from Awasi police station arrested the suspects on their way to Nyando law courts escorting court files.
