Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune Siddhirganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Selim Miah said: "There have been two cases filed regarding the two mob beating incidents. The woman injured in a separate mob beating incident has been identified as Sharmin, also a local resident. On July 20, a total of four people - including two women - were killed in separate mob beatings in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Keraniganj, and Savar, after they were suspected to be child lifters. The Bangladesh Police has further requested all citizens of the country to not spread rumours, and refrain from doling out mob justice.
