Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has reported that 2,444 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country from a sample size of 9,269 tested in the last 24 hours. The CS said in a statement on Friday that the positivity rate is at 26.4 per cent. The number of recoveries increased by 1,066, where 1,016 patients are from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while 50 are from various health facilities countrywide. Total recoveries now stand at 262,133 of whom 212,363 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 49,770 are from various health facilities countrywide. A total of 1,208 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 26,324 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
