KUALA LUMPUR: The Barisan Nasional (BN) government is close to achieving 100 per cent success in delivering its pledges from the 13th General Election Manifesto. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said that as of November, the government has achieved 97.6 per cent delivery of the manifesto through 17 initiatives and 156 strategic initiatives. Najib, who is also Umno president, said the ruling coalition is still carrying out the remainder of its promises. He also reminded Umno and BN leaders to emulate the "jihad" principles of previous Islamic leaders who worked hard to draw their strategies before rolling out their plan. "This is what Umno is doing, as the pillar of the BN government, over the past six decades," he said.
