13% positivity rate as 761 new Covid cases recorded


Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has announced 761 news cases of Covid-19 in the country. The new cases are from 5,794 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total caseload in Kenya to 189,703. A total of 1,067 patients are currently admitted in various hospitals, while 4,359 are under the Home-based Isolation and Care program. Some 218 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 196 of them in general wards and 22 in High Dependency Units (HDU). Murang’a and Machakos 8 cases each, Isiolo and Vihiga 7 cases each, Kirinyaga, Makueni, Kisii and Kwale 6 cases each, Bungoma, Kericho and Nyamira 5 cases each, Embu, Homa Bay, Kajiado, Kakamega, Narok and Nyandarua 2 cases each.
