Daycare staff tried to help the 13-month-old boy until paramedics arrived, police said. A toddler has died after choking on food at a daycare in Gatineau, Que., on Wednesday, police say. It happened at about 11:45 a.m. at Centre de la petite enfance La Ribambelle d'Aylmer at 272 Thuyas St., in the city's Aylmer sector. Gatineau police are investigating — a standard procedure in deaths of any children under the age of six. Investigators say the information they have so far leads them to believe the death was accidental.
