The incident took place on the Rangpur-Dhaka Highway in Jundah area Thursday morning. The victims were riding on a tarpaulin-covered iron rod laden truck to hide from police as they headed for their hometowns violating government-imposed travel ban. “The truck suddenly lost control and fell into a ditch, killing all passengers on board on the spot, said Palashbari police station OC Masudur Rahman. "Heavy wind brought about by the cyclone Amphan was prevailing during the time of the accident Thursday morning," he added.
