KEMAMAN: State Immigration Department rounded up 13 illegal immigrants including three women during 'Ops Ikrar ' at several houses in Chukai here yesterday. State Immigration director Wan Suhaini Wan Mohamad said 14 enforcement officers were involved in the nine-hour operation led by the department's deputy director Md Awal Ludin Mohd Ali . Suhaini said 10 Thai men and three Indonesian women were detained for not possessing valid travel documents and overstaying. "After the raids the 13 were found to be illegal immigrants as they did not have any valid documents and violated their social visit passes. Some of them tried to flee during the raids by hiding outside their houses and in the bushes nearby ," she said today.
