The incident took place on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway of Polashbari upazila’s Jundah area on Thursday morning. The 13 passengers were riding on the iron shaft ladden truck to go to their hometowns, defying government directives to prevent the spread of coronavirus, police say. “The truck --carrying the 13 passengers--suddenly lost control and turned upside down on the highway, killing all of them on spot, said Polashbari police station OC Masudur Rahman. Several teams of police and fire service are working in the area to control the situation, added the OC. The identities of the deceased were unknown till filing of the report.
