NewsHolding a special media briefing in Parliament, 13 Cabinet, State and Deputy Ministers representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) in the Government said they would vote in support of the No-Confidence Motion (NCM) against the PM. The SLFP MPs who fronted the media briefing a short while ago included Susil Premajayantha, W.D.J. Seneviratne, S.B. Dissanayaka, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Dilan Perera, Sudarshini Fernandopulle and Chandima Weerakkody. They further claimed that the vast majority of SLFP MPs in the Government Parliamentary Group had earlier decided to vote for the NCM, but that several MPs who opposed this decision may stay away when the Motion comes to a vote at 9.30PM.
