This was on top of a previous seizure linked to the same person. Police arrested Pisal Thongthammachart, 29, at the living quarters of a rubber company in Satun’s Khun Kalong district at 8pm. Police checked fingerprints and collected surrounding evidence before obtaining an arrest warrant for Pisal on Thursday. Pisal told police that he was hired by a person he knew only as “Bearwa” to smuggle the drug from Hat Yai to deliver to recipients in Satun. He picked up the drugs at a hotel in Hat Yai and kept them at a rented house there before taking the first consignment of 95kg to the resort, but police found it before he could deliver it.
