We celebrated the birth of Philippine independence, waged with countless lives and won with courage and honor. The sacrifices made by great Filipinos who came before us has given our independence deeper meaning and greater worth. The honor and dignity we have gained through the independence our heroes bought for us with their own lives are much too precious to compromise.
